1H2020
Well the first half of 2020 just disappeared in a flash
courtesy of Covid-19. Took to lots of
walking, some solo local biking and no boats.
Then came the day we could get wet again and it was a few solo exercise
sessions on the Dee. I started taking a
different kayak each time I went out (300m down the road). Better than nothing.
And then finally the 5 mile travel restriction was lifted and we got off to the Garry for a few WW laps, and to the Upper+Lower Tummels for a day’s river running. I started going to ‘Cannie again on the usual Wednesday evening to practise skills but the Dee has been pretty low.
And a local sea kayak cruise or two within the new Nesky
rules for socially distanced paddling.
Things are slowly picking up but it may be a while yet before things are
”normal”.
