June 2015 Whitewater kayaking in the French Alps
A smaller sized trip than the summer before but we made it to a chalet at Vallouise (Briancon area) in June for an intense dose of paddling. Rivers included the Durance, Guil, Ubaye, Onde, Gyronde, and Guisane.
June 2014 WW kayaking in Slovenia & Austria
A gaggle of paddlers from across Aberdeenshire managed to navigate reasonably well down to Slovenia for a lad's fortnight in the sun and whitewater. The main base was Bovec in the Soca valley with its laid back culture and quiet demeanour. Lots of good paddling at grade 3 and 4, the warm-up day had been at the Augsburg slalom site on the way down.
Towards the end we parked up in the campsite at Prutz (Austria) to gain access to the rivers Sanna, Inn, Otz etc.
